July 2019 | redaktion The City of Cologne, ARRI Media, LAVAlabs and Zoom Medienfabrik are new supporters of European Work in Progress Cologne 2019 After a successful first edition in 2018, European Work in Progress Cologne 2019 will take place from October 14-16, 2019 during the Film Festival Cologne. European Work In Progress Cologne (EWIP) seeks to elevate European films that are already in production or postproduction by opening up opportunities to match your project with world sales, financing or distribution partners and festivals. Submissions are still possible, the deadline is July 31, 2019. European Work in Progress Cologne is an industry event for European films and co-productions with high-quality appeal and crossover market potential. It is mainly supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, one of Europe’s leading film funding institutions, and hosted by AG Verleih, the association of German independent film distributors. In addition to the continuous support of the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW, the Film Festival Cologne, Creative Europe Desks Germany, EAVE as the event’s main partners as well as the committed support by the award sponsors K13 Studios and Eclair, European Work in Progress Cologne is pleased to welcome ARRI Media, LAVAlabs and ZOOM Medienfabrik as new award sponsors. A reception on invitation of the City of Cologne will be held on the opening day due to the engagement of EWIP’s new partner, the city council. A get-together on invitation by eitelsonnensystem will again round up this year’s program which will be announced by September. Producer Eva Blondiau and Director/Producer Elmar Imanov received the main Award at European Work in Progress Cologne 2018 for their feature film END OF SEASON. An international jury of film experts will acknowledge the winners of the best pitches with awards including post-production services as well as international festival publicity worth € 50.000.
